Vision & Direction
Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others. – Jonathan Swift
A strong game vision is not just an idea. It is a shared understanding that guides daily decisions across the whole team, from designers, artists and programmers to producers and leaders. It ensures they all keep the same cap and focus their efforts and expertise on reinforcing what makes the project unique while avoiding unnecessary distractions.
I help studios define, refine, and communicate their game vision so teams can move forward with confidence and alignment.
Whether a project is at concept stage, in pre-production, or struggling mid-development, my role is to bring clarity, structure, and direction without stripping away creativity.
How I help
- Clarifying the player fantasy, creative pillars, and USPs
- Translating high-level intent into concrete design direction
- Identifying misalignments between vision, scope, and production reality
- Supporting leadership in making and communicating hard creative decisions
- Helping teams reconnect with the “why” behind the project
Examples of requests I can help with

Our vision feels vague and everyone interprets it differently
Vision realignment
We need to re-align the project after major changes or setbacks
Team alignment
The features produced by the team lack cohesion with the vision.
Scoping
We want to sanity-check our vision against scope and constraints, and prioritise our goals.
Vision definition
We need help defining a clear vision and scope before pitching.
